Gotcha Day Anniversary Number 2!

We have been so blessed by our Heavenly Father! He hand picked Andrew for our family. There is no doubt about it! I can't even begin to list the ways he is like us even though he was born of our hearts and not from my womb. We have had a great day today and got great news from his ENT. No more pe tubes for now. He does have a little scarring in the left ear with a little low level hearing loss. He hearing is definitely good enough for hearing and speech. Praise the Lord for that gift!

We had dinner with friends tonight who also adopted from China. They have been home for 3 months. PF Chang's was awesome as usual.

We forgot to take our camera for picks. So sorry.

I do think of Andrew's biological parents and wonder if they realize how much is is truly loved and how he has grown. I am so thankful for their sacrifice. It couldn't have been easy. I am speechless and I am not eloquent. Can you believe it?! Know that my heart cries tears of joy! I'll try to write more later in detail.

WELCOME TO OUR BLOG!

WOW! This is a new experience for me. Never done anything like this, so bear with me,please.

Kevin and I were married 3/20/2004. We went through fertility testing, Clomid and IUI's. At our age and with fertility issues, we decided to investigate adoption in 10/05. We went to an AWAA information session at our church and then investigated other countries and agencies. We finally decided on AWAA and China in 1/06 and started the elephant paper pregnancy! After the AWAA session in October my heart was set on China. I fell in love with these children and people. Our church's mission focus was on China at this time also. Believe it or not, God's hand was in this the whole time. Our mentor couple in marriage class was from China! They are a wonderful couple and were so excited to hear that we are adopting from China! We have another couple in our small group that is adopting from China through AWAA. Their LID is 3/28/06 and our LID is 12/06/06. (Jamie and Karen are adopting NSN. Please be praying for them also.)

We received our referral for Qing Fu Yu on 10/9/07. He is in the Qingyang City SWI in Gansu Province. He has cleft lip/palate that has not been repaired as far as we know. His birth date is 3/11/06 and he will be 2 years old tomorrow.

We received our referral acceptance on 1/30/08 and now are waiting for our travel approval (TA).

We've been communicating with Sharon, Amy, Jennifer, Jill and Denise. We all hope to be traveling on 3/27/08. We can't wait to hold these children in our arms and snuggle away and love on them!

Hopefully, my next entry will say we have our TA!
