Surgery Day

Andrew came through surgery well. The surgeon is pleased with the way his lip looks and so are we. So far is doing okay with the no-no's(restraints). He was able to eat yogurt and chocolate pudding for dinner and has been drinking some juice. Who knows maybe we'll be able to go home tomorrow. The surgeon said he is a poster child for the surgery. She is surprised at how well he is eating and drinking so far. Most children internationally adopted  that have this surgery take longer to eat and drink due to their lack of understanding. He's already on the OR schedule to have his stitches out next Wednesday. Dr. David will be in Moldova on a mission trip so one of her partners will remove the stent and stitches. They also inserted his ear tubes and got a lot of "gunk" out. There was no scar tissue. Praise the Lord for all His many blessings. I was going to post a picture with his new smile but it wouldn't download. Will have to wait til we get home. Sharon, his smile reminds me of Hudson's. Thanks for everyone's prayers. We have felt them and we tremendously blessed to have you all as friends and family and to have Andrew and have him do so well. May God bless you all. Please be praying for China and Myanmar.

So glad all went well. We too, cannot wait to see his smile.
I think Hudson's has gotten less tight since he has been home, I hope that means he smiles a lot!!
Love you guys!

So glad to hear the news and to hear how well he is doing post-op. Have to believe that is a result of knowing how much he is loved. We will keep praying that God gives him continued patience (without trying it).
