June 8, 2008- Sweet Reunions

Oh what a hot day! It was about 99 outside but very comfortable inside! The Welborn's (were in China with us and are from Burlington, NC) invited the Boughton's (also in China with us and from Virginia Beach, VA) who were passing through and the Friesen's (us, of course) to a cookout at their house. It was awesome to be able to see everyone and catch up. We hadn't seen each other since coming home on April 11. We last saw them in O'Hare airport late in the evening. Joshua has put on weight and is looking great. Lily is really adapting well and looked so sweet. She kept trying to take care of Andrew and help him with his sippy cup even though he doesn't need help. No more no-no's. The kids played dominoes and match games and had fun just running around. The Welborn's made us all feel very welcome and fed us quite well. It was so nice to talk and compare notes on everyone's progress. I even got to catch us with a college (BSN/MSN, old work colleague) friend that lives next door to Susan and Brian. I hadn't seen Susan in at least 5 years.
Pictures clockwise: 1) Emerson  and Lily Welborn with Andrew,2) Susan and Lily trying to help Andrew drink from his sippy cup, 3) Laurie, Randy and Joshua Boughton ( sorry, Joshua turned his head to quickly), 4) our newly adopted children all together- Joshua, Lily and Andrew.
Wish I had more to share of the pictures. We all had a blast!
