Andrew's temp was back up to 103 at 7pm so we had our guides take us to the hospital. He called his sister and found out which hospital had the best pediatrics program. She told us to go to the university ( 1st Hospital of the University of Lanzhou) and so we did. We were back at the hotel by around 8:30pm. The doctor told us he has strep throat. We're continuing on the antibiotics we brought with us (Thanks Dr. Miller!), the fever medicine they gave us and an enema. Such a tiny little bottle but went pretty well. Hospital didn't look to bad. It only cost us 23 yuan (just over $3 in US currency) and we were in and out a lot quicker than we would have been at home! Hopefully, it all works. He already is starting to feel a little cooler. Will let you know more. Think we are in for another long night. Thanks for all your prayers.

Lord we pray you would heal Andrew's strep throat quickly and that he would be feeling well very soon. We pray for a safe flight on Friday to Guangzhou and that the medical exam and paperwork in Guangzhou will be completed without a hitch! We pray for fun family times of shopping and sightseeing and continued family bonding! We pray that the consulate appt and getting Andrew's Visa will also go well . . . all of this for your glory Lord we pray.
Thinking of you guys as you are asleep (hopefully)!

You're experiencing an early initiation into the world of parenting and passing with flying colors. You are making all the right decisions. Keep up the great job and throw in a liberal dose of love and snuggling for added measure. The three of you are in our prayers. Nancy and John were not home when I called after talking with you. I left the info on the answering machine. She hasn't called so it must have answered their concerns. Give Andrew a hug and a kiss for us. Consider yourselves hugged.
We love you,
Mom and Dad
WOW! You guys took right to this parenting job but we knew that you would. We are sorry to hear that Andrew is sick and we can relate to the worrying and sleepless nights. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
We love you,
Gary, Nora, Nicole and Logan
Oh man! Katie was really sick in China as well, and it's so hard. Hard because you are worried about your child, hard because you are stuck in a hotel room, and hard because you are so exhausted as well. {hug}
Hope he gets to feeling much better soon!
So sorry to hear that Andrew is sick. Yes, this is part of being a parent. Prayer, worry, no sleep, and definitely a lot more prayer. We are praying for all of you. We love you.
